Stay up to date on the Rolling Meadows market
Rolling Meadows, Illinois, is a town in Cook County. In 1955, it was incorporated as a city shortly after developer Kimball Hill purchased the land to create affordable housing. Rolling Meadows has a population of over 24,000 citizens.
To many Rolling Meadows residents, their community is “A Great Place to Call Home,” and they are absolutely right. This community is less than an hour away from Chicago, plus it has a strong economy and seven miles of parks and recreational facilities. A popular park in the area has the same name as the town’s founder: Kimball Hill Park. Kimball Hill Park has a fishing/skating pond, picnic areas, ball fields, and trails. West Meadows Ice Arena is where you can skate or play hockey. The arena also has a conference room that holds up to 45 people. Stop by the local historical museum for a guided or self-guided tour. What makes this museum unique is that it’s designed to mimic a 1950s house; it holds collections of mid-20th-century photos and documents. Meridian Banquets and Conference Center is a large and beautiful event venue. It possesses 50,000 square feet with high ceilings, ballrooms, granite dance floors, and other features. Adjacent to this event venue are Walmart, Steak ‘n Shake, Lowe’s, among other retailers. There are eight schools in Rolling Meadows: one early childhood academy, three public elementary schools, two middle schools, one public high school, and one Catholic school.
The real estate in Rolling Meadows is made up of apartments, townhomes, and single-family dwellings. The homes in Rolling Meadows have an average of two to three bedrooms, and many Rolling Meadows properties were built between the years 1940-1999. It’s also a family-friendly community since about 23 percent of the population is made up of children and teens. Consider moving to Rolling Meadows. It has small-town charm, gorgeous green spaces, and a lovely, historic atmosphere.
